Vintage 1950s Lanz Original for Bonwit Teller. Navy shirtwaist dress with a pointed collar, button front, full gathered sleeves, a fitted waist and a big full skirt. Crisp fabric with a soft sheen.

Two labels: Bonwit Teller, the Fifth Avenue store that closed in 1990, and the early Lanz Original heart label. Lanz of Salzburg was founded in 1922 and became known in the US for its dirndl-inspired day dresses.
