Seats have been removed and are ready for reupholstery or custom seat inserts. Some cane backs have localized damage/repair needs, shown in photos. Set of six sculptural teak dining chairs — 4 side chairs and 2 armchairs. Exceptional artisan construction with large-format framed cane back panels, brass pin details at the back frame, and dramatically angular arm construction with distinctive splayed joints. Tapered legs with round feet.
Seats need to be done — seller's vision is lucite/acrylic drop-in seats to showcase the extraordinary frame design. This is a designer move that elevates the set significantly.
Some cane wear consistent with age. Frame is solid and exceptional throughout.
Attribution pending — underside marks being researched. Could be Nakashima-adjacent studio work or named Italian/Scandinavian craftsman. Teak construction and joinery quality point to serious provenance.
